Stock Controller - Part Time - 20 Hours Per Week (Monday to Friday 10.00 - 14.00)

£8747 per annum

Purpose of Role

To assist the Operations Centre Manager and the Service Manager in the day to day running of the Operations Centre.

Accountabilities

* To maintain sufficient levels of stock to run the Operations Centre, including uniforms and protective clothing.

Key Responsibilities

* To maintain sufficient levels of stock to run the Operations Centre, including uniforms and protective clothing.
* To issue and receive back in, stock needed and stock returned against driver's routes.
* To maintain manual issue and manual receipt records.
* To maintain all records relating to the sale of consumables.
* To carry out stock takes when required.
* To re-charge first aid boxes ready for next service.
* To conduct vehicle checks when required
* To keep stock areas clean and tidy always and update labeling, as and when required.
* To report to the Operations Centre Manager when levels of stock need to be replenished.
* To arrange servicing of fleet
* To be able to carry out requisitions and any other purchasing when necessary in the absence of the Operations Centre Manager or appointed person.
* To check goods against goods receipt notes.
* To carry out period end checks, as per agreed schedule.
* To undergo continuous training and development.
* To carry out any other duties required by the Operations Centre Manager
* To be aware of the Company ISO14001/ISO9001 procedures and the Waste Transfer Station's licence and to adhere to them always.
* To be aware of and abide by Health & Safety Regulations and COSHH and to wear the appropriate Protective Clothing.
* To carry out all operations and activities in the prescribed manner.
* Use the correct tools and equipment for the operation including any relevant safety equipment or protective clothing.
* Report any defects in equipment or protective clothing immediately.
* Avoid improvising or taking short cuts that would entail unauthorised or unnecessary risks.
* Maintain a clean and tidy working area.
* Report accidents or near miss incidents promptly.
* Suggest ways of eliminating or reducing hazards.
* Co-operate with accident/incident investigations to prevent re-occurrence.
* Develop a personal concern for their own safety and that of colleagues.

Skills and Knowledge Required

* Hold a valid driving license.
* Inoculated against Hepatitis B, Polio and Tetanus - or will be able to be obtained.
* Experience with roles that require hard work.
* Experience with roles that require working closely with other members within a team.
* Experience with stock control systems and maintaining stock levels to ensure smooth and seamless delivery.
