We are looking for a self-motivated individual, with a progressive approach, to join the Finance team in Northampton, as Finance Manager.

Position: Finance Manager

Location: Northampton (Office based)

Hours: 35 hours per week

Salary: circa £27,500 per annum 

Contract: 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

The Role

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Finance Manager will:

  • Ensure the accurate and timely processing of sales, purchase and bank activity 
  • Take ownership of the Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger and Banking processes 
  • Become the principal contact within the finance team for internal and external, customers and suppliers

The Finance Manager will have responsibility for 3 direct reports, as such they will be expected to manage and develop staff. They would also be expected to support the Financial Controller and Management Accountant ensuring that cover for sickness and annual leave is in place. 

About you

As Finance Manager, you’ll have strong Excel skills and experience of all basic Microsoft Office applications and be able to demonstrate high levels of accuracy. You will have accountancy experience within a busy finance environment and experience of using Finance Systems. You will be organised and methodical when dealing with large processing volumes. Knowledge of PS Financial would be advantageous but not essential.
