Job Details

Your main role within the Product Control team will be to partner with traders regarding risk, trading strategies and valuation impacts on P&L and balance sheets including participating in front office projects.

The role will also involve analysis of P&L attribution; risk identification, control oversight and financial analytics; recognition of trends and early issue identification due to deep understanding of cumulative P&L, valuation and accounting methodologies. In addition, you’ll be involved with understanding trade capture and risk management systems to assess downstream implications to P&L and the balance sheet, and new deal write-ups and structured trade reviews.

As a member of this team, you will have regular interaction with the offshore team based in Indian who produce the daily P&Ls and key reconciliations. Your responsibility will be to link the daily P&L and financial controls to the risk/valuation oversight of traders.

To be successful in the role you will have:

- 3+ years’ relevant experience

- a strong background in financial products and trading businesses

- experience with commodities products, P&L attribution, “the greeks” and technical commentaries are beneficial.

 

A strong sense of accountability and ownerships of key deliverables is certainly an asset to this team, and you will be comfortable tackling new concepts and ideas associated with on-going change in the business.
