Joining our team as an experienced and skilled technologist to directly influence the success of our Equities business by taking responsibility for the support of critical applications, with a focus on Algorithmic flows.

You’ll provide business-facing support for Equities Trading and downstream platforms. You will be supporting key cash execution platforms including Fidessa, FlexTrade and other internal systems. Working directly with the Front Office and handling business stakeholders, you will collaborate with Developers and global operation teams on strategic projects across regions, including capacity and performance management, infrastructure upgrades. BCP/DR events and audit and regulatory requests. Development delivery will be part of the opportunities available and you will be actively involved in Agile, both Kanban and scrum sprints. 

Your excellent, wide-reaching technical skills and your experience dealing with business customers to translate technology into business terms will enable deep analysis and fast issue resolution. You will further develop your background in proactive identification of problems and solution implementation and build on your experience of handling incidents and problems to ensure healthy and stable environments.

In this role you will provide Level 1 support for production systems being part of a follow-the-sun model as well as to manage incidents and update key stakeholders. A big part of the role will be change management; while being a part of the Global team, with a focus on EU Equities Algorithmic trading you will develop functional and technical understanding of the existing Algos in use, interface with business and product team directly on projects. You will formulate and document best practice Electronic Execution support framework

To be successful you will have previous Application Support experience in a front office environment – with knowledge of European equities markets and microstructure as well as strong knowledge of front office cash sales trading work flow. You shall have good communication skills both verbally and written and confident in working with senior stakeholders across front office. Strong problem solving and analytical skills and the ability to work well under pressure will be essential for this role. You will have good knowledge of ITIL & Agile tools and processes (e.g. Remedy, JIRA and Confluence) for Incident/Change/Problem management
