LOCATION: Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire JOB TITLE: Office Administrator  SALARY & BENEFITS: Salary (H2 £18,000) £13,000 pro rata  WORKING HOURS: Part Time – 30 hours per week ideally split over Monday to Friday but hours negotiable/flexible - Term Time only  THE COMPANY: Our client operate a school in Hemel Hempstead and is an exciting, dynamic, vibrant and fulfilling place to work. A School which is ‘Good Overall, in all aspects’ (Ofsted December 2015), and which now enjoys a completely new build, opened in January 2017, and is now seeking an a new Office Administrator to join their existing team.  This would be a great for someone who is highly organised and able to multi task effectively.  THE ROLE: As an Office Administrator you will support the School Community in ensuring the efficient and effective management of the School’s Reception and Student Service areas of the School. In additin you will be required to answer incoming calls, greet and record details of all visitors to the School and keep a record of staff and visitors signing in and out of the building and in the event of a fire or any other emergency requiring staff to leave the building, you will be responsible for ensuring that the visitors book and signing out books are removed. Additional duties and key process of the role could be, • To be responsible for the answering of the main school switchboard • To be responsible for signing in visitors to the School and to communicate with courtesy and clarity to all staff, students, parents, carers, visitors, outside agencies and the wider community, including answering general telephone and face to face enquiries • To accept deliveries and arrange the distribution through the Site staff • To deal with all incoming and outgoing mail and parcels including recorded delivery item • To review and update on a regular basis the staff contact and telephone extension lists • To maintain and update all administrative and information systems and processes as required, including retrieving and collating information and to ensure delivery of a high level reception and Student services • To produce whole school weekly analysis of attendance • To publish daily on-call statistics to all staff • To attend appropriate professional development courses • To carry out other occasional reasonable duties a may be requested by the Headteacher or the Office Manager commensurate with grade • Celebrate in the success of the school • To undertake First Aid Training and be part of a First Aid Cover Rota THE CANDIDATE: The successful candidate for the Office Administrator role will need to have strong interpersonal skills and be an affective communicator that can liaise with parents and outsider agencies. You will need to be IT literate, have good admin skills and will need to be someone who can multi task effectively in a sometimes fast paced environment. You should be someone who can remain calm and optimistic under pressure and someone who is able to work unsupervised at time. In addition, candidates must undergo a DBS check and will also need to live in, or be able to adequately commute to Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire. Key Experience/ Characteristics preferred for the Office Administrator role :- - Good admin and organisation skill essential - C grade GCSE level in Maths & English (Or equivalent) or ability to demonstrate good knowledge of written and spoken English essential  - Excellent common sense, good initiative essential  - Must be able to prioritise and multi task  - Must be able to commute to Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire Does this sound like you?
