The link between low income and low academic attainment is greater in the UK than almost any other developed nation. Children eligible for free school meals are less likely to get good GCSEs and go on to higher education. This makes it more likely they will struggle throughout their lives, widening social inequality. It’s a cycle that we’re determined to break.

The Contracts Lead is vital in ensuring the delivery of multiple, complex contracts and relationships with funders. It covers all aspects of the charity’s programmes to help drive value for money, realise cost savings and drive the improvement of contract management practice across the organisation. This is an exciting opportunity for a bright and experienced individual to be part of shaping and building the charity’s contract management capabilities and activities.

The ideal candidate will have experience in managing significant contracts and driving value for money, in or with the public sector and can manage multiple, detailed priorities with tight deadlines. The ideal candidate can manage contractual obligations in an operational environment and experienced identifying and mitigating risks in a complex operational environment.

The day when no child’s future is limited by their background is coming, yet, there is still more to be done. Join us and help us ensure every child in the UK has a fair shot at their ambitions.
