A Local Authority in the South West is seeking an experienced Planning Locum Solicitor to start ASAP on an initial 3 month, ongoing, basis.

The Position:-
* Locum Lawyer required
* To handle busy Planning caseload, consisting predominantly of the drafting and issuing of Planning Enforcement Notices & Certificates of Lawful Development
* You will also be required to attend a Planning Committee, so own travel and experience with this is required
* Requirement due to covering a recruitment gap, so Temp to Perm opportunity could arise for the right candidate
* You will be required to act independently with minimal supervision
* 2 or 3 days remote working can be accommodated
* This role is due to start ASAP for an initial 3 months, likely to be ongoing after that
* This is a Part Time 3 day a week role, however, funding for a Full Time 5 day a week role is being requested so that there may be scope for Full Time hours moving forwards
* Rates £35 - £45ph (via an Umbrella Company - inside IR35)

The Ideal Candidate:-
* Ideal candidate will be a Solicitor/Legal Executive or Lawyer similarly qualified, with at least 4 years PQE
* Will ideally have experience dealing with Planning work in a local authority environment
* Those with private practice experience but an interest in working within local government should still apply
