The roles are for full and part-time Project Workers

37 and 18.5 hours a week- various shift pattern which includes sleep-ins and weekends

We can offer permanent posts to the successful applicants.

For this role you will require an Enhanced DBS check, which we pay for.

What is special about this opportunity?

We have an opportunity for you to join our Supported Accommodation project in Caerphilly Borough, Blackwood. The successful candidate will be flexible, you will be expected to work on a 6-week rolling rota and the role will involve sleep-ins and a variety of shifts. For this you will receive £20,708.00 PA, sleep-in rate of £34.54 and many other Pobl benefits i.e Pobl choices, cycle to work scheme, pension etc.

How can I make a difference?

Our Team supports service users with substance misuse issues in a supported accommodation setting. All our customers are motivated to make a positive change in their life and aim to start their recovery journey. You would be joining a small, skilled team who have a passion and determination to help anyone in need and support them to develop independent life skills. You would play a key role for the clients we support to develop them to engage back into the community safely, effectively and passionately. Teamwork is key in this role; we support each other as well as the clients.

Its an exciting work environment where no two days are the same. Its a very rewarding role where you would be making a real difference to the lives of our service users, who might have never had any support before.

You will have experience of working with challenging people of different ages. This role requires flexibility along with enthusiasm, self-motivation and creativity. You will need the ability to work on your own initiative in a busy and dynamic role as well as a being a positive team player. The role will require you to work with individuals with complex needs to prevent relapse and develop skills needed to maintain their tenancies in their local community, change behaviour, maintain their health and wellbeing, progress to independent living and make appropriate choices.

Our clients may have led difficult lives and as a result display a range of complex behaviours and needs. The scheme provides 24-hour support for individuals to build and develop their skills and confidence, so they can be resettled and maintain their own tenancy within the Caerphilly Borough area.
