THE COMPANY:

Our client is a market leader within the insurance sector with over 160 years experience insuring committed shipping members. They are currently seeking a Personal Assistant to cover maternity leave for 9 – 12 months, 4 days a week: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

 

THE ROLE:



To provide efficient and timely support to the Claims Director (CD) and the Underwriting Director (UD). Also provide additional cover to the Loss Prevention Director and the Head of Legal



  • To provide a high level of service through timely and accurate response to enquiries that are received by the CD and UD by telephone, fax, letter or email.


  • To produce grammatically correct documentation in an accurate and timely way, ensuring it is despatched with the correct attachments.


  • To help the CD with running reports by way of the Dashboard system, creating graphs etc to produce a high level Board paper every other quarter.


  • To assist the CD and Head of Legal with yearly Rule Changes for the annual Rule book, as well as providing assistance to the Head of Legal in amending Policy wording documents when required to a high level.


  • To produce PowerPoint presentations and course handouts when required.


THE PERSON:


Knowledge

  • Basic understanding of the company aims, objectives and structure.
  • Working knowledge of the department/team’s processes, procedures and daily routines.
  • Appreciation of the work of other departments/teams.
Skills
  • Audio/copy typing, with correct grammar and spelling.
  • Effective use of the computer systems.
  • Effective use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
  • Accuracy and attention to detail. Basic numeracy and literacy.
  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication skill
