What will this role involve?

Amey and Trafford Council are working in partnership to deliver environmental and infrastructure services across Trafford forming the One Trafford Partnership.

The Trafford Highways Consulting account provides the local highway authority function on behalf of Traffic Council. It comprises of a team of engineers, technicians and support staff. There are three teams each leading on a key area of the account; Traffic, Development Control & Drainage and Highway Maintenance (including highway structures).

Due to Growth we are recruiting for an Assistant Engineer to join to join our Traffic team. The successful candidate will provide technical support on highways and public realm projects.

You will have or be working towards ONC, HNC/BEng in Civil Engineering or similar and be working towards EngTECH/IEng status of the Institution of Civil Engineers / Institution of Highways and Transportation or similar.

You will have previous experience of producing technical designs using AutoCAD, design experience within a Traffic Design environment and industry knowledge of relevant design standards.
