We’re looking for an innovative, passionate and professional individual with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills to join our clients services in Wandsworth.

Position: Stroke Support Coordinator

Location: Wandsworth area (office based)

Hours: 14 hours per week, with possibility to increase to 21 hours per week

Salary: circa £10,500 per annum (including £1,300 inner London weighting)

Contract: Fixed term contract until 31 March 2020

The Role

The Stroke Support Coordinator will:

 

  • Support stroke survivors and their carers from hospital into the community.
  • Provide personalised information, advice and support.
  • Provide regular reviews to support people in establishing and achieving their own personal goals.
  • Recruit, train and manage a team of volunteers that will support the service.

 

About you

Applicants are likely to have:

 

  • A background in a health or caring profession, ideally with experience of supporting people with disabilities and stroke.
  • Excellent IT skills and a strong understanding of how to use data to improve quality.
  • A flexible approach to your role, this is essential.

 

Appreciating much of the Support Coordinator role will be spent visiting people in Wandsworth; our client offers a Make Your Week Work for You and Those We Serve benefit which, in agreement with your line manager offers the flexibility to work from home alongside being based from their London City Road office, the intention being to relocate the service office base to Wandsworth.

Service time and additional expenses will be claimed within the service area where you work which will be discussed further at interview along with working hours. Please state desired working hours when applying.

The use of a car with business use cover and the ability to drive is desirable, but not essential to be able to fulfil the requirements of the role.
