Activities Coordinator  Cyrenians provide care, support and housing in London for people who may be homeless, have a learning disability or a mental health need. Our aim is to provide a safe and secure environment to help people recover and maximise their potential. Cyrenians services place people at the heart of their communities and help them to develop the skills to live independent lives in the way they choose. Cyrenians work with local people in an environment that promotes and embraces diversity and the differences that make people individuals.  Position: Specialist Activities Leader  Location: London  Contract type: Part Time, Permanent  Hours: 16 hours per week  Salary: £7,278 - £8,800 dependent on experience and qualifications (based on FTE of £18,195-£22,000)  Benefits: 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, pro rata; pension scheme  About the Role:  The Activities Coordinator will create a positive and enjoyable diversion from distressing symptoms of mental ill health by providing alternative coping strategies through structured activity sessions. You will facilitate specialist one to one and/or group sessions with customers based on a particular activity and involve customers in agreeing how these sessions will be run and evidenced as much as possible.  About You:  The successful candidate will have significant, successful experience of planning, organising and facilitating activities, a teaching qualification (Diploma in Education & Training; DTLLS or equivalent) would also be desirable. You will have the ability to tailor activities to suit the needs and abilities of the customers and to plan, prepare, and deliver sessions for groups and individual adults with Mental Health and Complex Needs and/or Learning Disabilities.  Additionally, you will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and numeracy and good computer skills including Word, Excel and Outlook. A willingness to work flexibly, including at other sites when necessary, to meet the needs of the service is also essential.  You may have experience of the following: Specialist Activities Leader, Specialist Activities Coordinator, Specialist Activities Assistant, Activities Leader, Activities Coordinator, Activities Assistant, Therapy, Charity, Charities, Third Sector, NFP, Not for Profit etc
