JOB TITLE – Student Mentor – Manchester
ABOUT THE SCHOOL
Prospero teaching are currently working with a number of children looked after across the Manchester area and are currently setting up a number of provisions to support Year 6 Students who are transitioning into secondary school. The role will require individuals who are patient and able to lead activity based sessions to develop the student’s social ability and develop key skills including resilience, independence and self-reliance.
CONTRACT DETAILS
• Manchester and Greater Manchester
• Experienced Student Mentor
• July 2019 Start
• Part time
• Minimum rate £20 per hour
• Hourly depending on student schedule – Will be scheduled between 8am and 6pm
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
• Previously worked with Looked After Children
• Led Activity Based Sessions
• DBS on the update service required
• Patient and Resilient Approach Needed
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional references
• Qualifications
