Job Details

We’re looking for an experienced Marketing & Communications specialist to join our Commodities and Global Markets (CGM) communications team in London. This is a unique and exciting opportunity to join a high-performing, multi-disciplinary team, and play a central role in shaping and delivering internal and external communications strategy.

Working across a range of disciplines including leadership communications, staff engagement and employee communications, brand and marketing, digital and social media, and event marketing, you’ll use your significant experience in a similar role in financial services to drive the development and execution of communications initiatives that effectively promote and maximise stakeholder understanding of our products and services.

Reporting to the London-based Global Head of Communications, you’ll have a strong focus on content strategy, creation and engagement; play a pivotal hands-on role in the development of message-driven marketing and communications materials; and drive the effective implementation of communication strategies aligned with business objectives. As a senior member of the team, your prior people management experience will be an asset in mentoring a small team of communication and graphic design professionals.

We’re looking for someone who can demonstrate strategic thinking by differentiating our expertise, has a passion for creating compelling content and is looking for the opportunity to contribute ideas within an entrepreneurial culture that values idea generation, initiative, and achievement.

If you have excellent stakeholder relationship management skills, the ability to excel in a busy, results-driven culture and are looking to make an impact, then we’d love to hear from you. Please include a cover letter and samples of your work.

Working at Macquarie

We believe in providing a positive environment for all our staff that is innovative and inspiring. For our female staff, Macquarie’s senior leaders are actively involved in increasing the representation of females in management positions.  In June 2014, we launched a mentoring programme for females, with the following two objectives:

  • Address female retention rates at Senior Manager level and improve our diverse pipeline of talent;
  • Engage female Senior Managers by providing tools and support around their personal development;

The programme pairs up Senior Managers with Directors, who meet on a monthly basis, and are supported by active group sessions (bi-monthly) with an external facilitator.

We select some of the brightest minds to help us in solving complex challenges for our clients.  We recognise that recruiting talent from varied backgrounds is essential to improving our understanding of the marketplace, and enhancing creativity and problem-solving capabilities in our businesses.

Because of this, our commitment to you is to create a diverse and inclusive workplace regardless of age, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, ethnicity or cultural background.

We make this commitment not only because it is the right thing to do but it opens up a world of opportunity, securing the future of our people, our success and our business
