Job Details

We’re looking for an experienced eLearning Specialist/Instructional Designer to join our Commodities and Global Markets communications team in London for a 6-month fixed term contract. This is a unique and exciting opportunity to be part of a global training project and play a central role in shaping and delivering digital learning experiences to our staff globally.

With a strong understanding of instructional design methods, in-depth knowledge of adult learning principles and a passion for creating compelling content, you’ll work closely with subject matter experts to translate technical knowledge and policy requirements into engaging, visually appealing and interactive digital learning formats.

You’ll work with our global project manager to understand the training objectives, define the skills and knowledge which needs to be communicated and determine the best learning approach for a series of training topics. You’ll also partner with our in-house graphic designers and developers to assist in the development of the visual design.

We’re looking for someone with a proven track record of delivering best-in-class digital/blended learning programs, ideally within banking or professional services; demonstrated experience creating storyboards, audio and video scripts, case studies, infographics and learning assessments; and with detailed knowledge of content authoring tools (e.g. Adapt and Articulate Storyline).

If you have excellent stakeholder relationship management skills, the ability to excel in a busy, results-driven culture and are looking to make an impact, then we’d love to hear from you. Please include a cover letter and samples of your work.

Working at Macquarie

We believe in providing a positive environment for all our staff that is innovative and inspiring. For our female staff, Macquarie’s senior leaders are actively involved in increasing the representation of females in management positions.  In June 2014, we launched a mentoring programme for females, with the following two objectives:

  • Address female retention rates at Senior Manager level and improve our diverse pipeline of talent;
  • Engage female Senior Managers by providing tools and support around their personal development;

The programme pairs up Senior Managers with Directors, who meet on a monthly basis, and are supported by active group sessions (bi-monthly) with an external facilitator.

We select some of the brightest minds to help us in solving complex challenges for our clients.  We recognise that recruiting talent from varied backgrounds is essential to improving our understanding of the marketplace, and enhancing creativity and problem-solving capabilities in our businesses.

Because of this, our commitment to you is to create a diverse and inclusive workplace regardless of age, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, ethnicity or cultural background.

We make this commitment not only because it is the right thing to do but it opens up a world of opportunity, securing the future of our people, our success and our business
