Service Engineer - part time 5 month contract
An experienced Service Engineer is required on a part time basis for a client of mine who specialise in a range of Clinical quality control equipment as well as a range of medical devices.
As a Service Engineer, you will be base in the Service department at NHS Blood and Transplant Centre performing preventative maintenance, service, repair and calibration on a range of Hemoflow Devices used for collecting blood samples.
Service Engineer - Duties
+ Work 3 days per week from NHSBT
+ Proficiently disassembly and assembly of the Hemoflow Devices
+ Troubleshoot devices at a detailed component level
+ Complete service call paperwork after each visit and obtain customer sign off
+ Liaise with the Service Co-ordinator to plan work schedule
+ Attend on the job training and meetings as required
+ Provide ad-hoc technical support to the NHSBT
+ Monitor stock levels and flag when spare parts are low.
+ Adhere to and maintain the company's Quality/H&S policies
Service Engineer - Experience
+ Diploma/HNC in Electronic Engineering/Electrical Mechanical Engineering/Biomedical Engineering
+ Significant experience working in the clinical/pharmaceutical/Life science sector
+ Experience of troubleshooting at component level
+ Commercial awareness and ability to communicate at all levels regarding technical matters
+ Flexible approach to work and be prepared to work additional hours when required
This role is initially offered on a part time basis of 3 days per week, but this may increase as demand increases. In return is a salary of £30,000 pro rata, 22 days annual leave (pro rata) plus a lunch allowance, mobile phone and a laptop
