Tutor Coordinator for Energy, Health & ITEC

LOCATION: Covent Garden, London

SALARY: Spine point 31 – 35, £34,235 – £38,141 pro rata per annum inclusive of London Weighting.  Appointments are made at the bottom of the salary scale but relevant past experience is taken into account in the spinal point awarded.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with the Health and Wellbeing department, a team of committed and passionate holistically trained professionals who provide a wide range of health and well-being courses to adults in London. If you are passionate about and have experience of teaching ITEC Level 3 massage, aromatherapy or reflexology to adults we would love to hear from you. We are seeking a co-ordinator who can lead, manage and review the delivery of our energy, health and ITEC classes throughout the academic whilst also observing, managing and organising our team of tutors. You will be part of a supportive team, and receive plenty of opportunities for developing your teaching practice.

THE ROLE:

You will coordinate and supervise courses within the subject programme area; participate in curriculum development activities and raise the profile of the movement programme in liaison with members of the team, the Head of Programme and Head of School; recruit, supervise and support part-time tutors and other staff as appropriate; carry out the necessary administrative and quality assurance procedures to ensure the on going success of the area; and to teach on the programme as necessary.

SELECTION CRITERIA:

• Up-to-date subject knowledge in two or more of the subjects within the subject area, which includes; ITEC Level 3 Massage, Aromatherapy, Reflexology etc.
• An Assessors Award (A1, TAQA) and IQA Award (V1) or will to work towards one.
• Ability to manage a team.
• A teaching qualification.
