What is the role?

Would you like to join a premier League Football Club in the role of Payroll Assistant?  As part of this opportunity you will be supporting and assisting the Payroll Manager in delivering an effective and efficient payroll service that ALL staff and workers are paid accurately and on time.

This opportunity is on a flexibly Part Time, Fixed Term basis to cover maternity until October 2020.

What are we looking for?

The successful candidate will be required to manage payroll workload to meet operational requirements as well as ensuring fortnightly and monthly payrolls are processed in an accurate, compliant and timely manner.

There will be a requirement to complete matchday figures with the Venue Safety Manager after each event/Match, whist using your own initiative to organise various tasks in order of importance and manage time effectively.

The competencies which are required include:

Essential Experience:

Experience working in a payroll role.

Demonstrable experience of managing a high workload and prioritising work effectively.

Desirable Experience:

Experience of using Workday ERP

Deseriable Qualifications (including certifications):

Level AAT 1,2 or 3 in Payroll.

Essential Skills:

Attention to detail and accuracy.

Must be confident working with numbers.

Strong problem solving skills and decision-making.

Experience of using Microsoft Excel in a payroll context

Ability to think strategically.

Strong planning and organisational skills; ensuring that confidentiality is maintained at all times.

Ability to build strong working relationships.

Experience of working within a fast-paced environment.

Excellent communication skills.

Quality focus; takes responsibility for ensuring a high quality of work.

Drive and Energy; demonstrates enthusiasm and is personally committed to achieving objectives set.

Desirable Skills:

Working technical knowledge of all employment taxes
