At Brockenhurst College, we have an exciting opportunity for a Marketing and Events Executive to join our dedicated and enthusiastic marketing team. Working on a full time, permanent basis you will receive a competitive salary of £26,172 to £31,125 per annum.
We are a high-achieving college who attract around 2,700 sixth form students across the region each year. We are based within the New Forest National Park and offer our students a huge range of courses and superb facilities.
The Marketing and Events Executive Role:
You will be responsible for devising and delivering a range of marketing, promotional and public relations activities for the College, in line with the Marketing Strategy. The role requires:
- the management of high-profile College events such as open events, freshers’ day, and parental tours
- generating ideas for new events to complement and support the programme, targeting specific groups where possible and tailoring each occasion to its audience so that its objectives are achieved
- the development of the College alumni strategy to maximise potential donations from past students
Key skills, responsibilities and attitudes required as our Marketing and Events Executive include:
- A degree or equivalent in relevant subject.
- Experience of implementing marketing strategy for / in a medium / large organisation.
- Experience in fundraising and alumni development
- Experience of using data and research to inform operations within a marketing environment.
- Knowledge of different methods of evaluating marketing activities to ensure effectiveness.
- A proven track record of successful planning and delivery of large and sometimes complex events, and sound decision making.
- Creative and proactive approach to the delivery of a wide ranging programme of events.
- Understanding of the context and issues facing the FE / HE sector.
- Experience of generating business and customer commitment.
