Fixed term/secondment position until 31 March 2021 with flexible hours available 

This is a chance to work in a dynamic team on a number of high-profile programmes of work that aim to improve adult social care, with a particular emphasis on the use of technology.

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about the difference that councils can make to social care. You will be a good communicator, have the ability to understand the complex interactions that impact on social care and the skill to help devise and manage programmes that support councils to innovate at scale and improve the services that matter to people. 

The post holder will support our existing innovation and transformation programmes. Examples of programmes the post holder will support and manage will include the Social Care Digital Innovation Programme, and the recently launched Social Care Digital Innovation Accelerator. 

Experience and knowledge of working in local government, and an understanding of the use of technology in adult social care would be of benefit. You will be adept at understanding the impact of health and care government policy at a local level, using insights from these to identify the support required to drive innovation and improvement. 

The post holder is required to have strong project management skills, experience of user led approaches and using evidence-based approach to demonstrate impact as well as using evidence-based narratives to support improvement. Knowledge or experience of the application of design-based approaches and methods will be required. Experience of using digital methods of increasing engagement and sharing best practice would be desirable. Ability to communicate effectively across multiple organisations is essential. In additional, ability to influence at all levels, tact, diplomacy and tenacity goes without saying, as well as knowledge of what makes impactful communications.
