An excellent opportunity exists for an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join a busy, private hospital unit for their forensic male ward.

The successful candidate will hold current full GMC registration and be on specialist register. They will also have current approved clinical status, and be approved under section 12 (2) of the Mental Health Act 1983 (amended 2007).

You will have experience with learning disabilities, or forensic experience.

You will be responsible for:

Managing admissions and discharges from the unit, service development (including plans to open residential services) , reviewing inpatients, and take overall responsibility and charge of the medical care of all patients on the post holders unit.

This is a part time, permanent post for 3 days per week and will involve an on call rota, approximately 1 in 3.6. Whilst on call, you will also cover the Stoke-On-Trent Hospital

The role is paying between £80,000 and £85,000 per annum depending on experience. The hospital is based in Birmingham.
