If so ............... An exciting opportunity has arisen for 111 Dental Nurse Advisors with Derbyshire Health united, Being a 111 Dental Nurse Advisor is a varied and challenging role, and you will need to use your Dental Nurse skills and expertise to the full. Working on behalf on the NHS 111 is an exciting role that gives you the opportunity to use and develop your assessment skills for a wide variety of Dental patients.
As a Dental Nurse at DHU 111 you will assess patients' symptoms and needs over the phone supported by our clinical decision software and refer if necessary to an alternative service. You will also be trained and supported to undertake the 111 Health Advisor role in a business continuity situation.
To apply for this vacancy you must meet the following criteria:
• Qualified Dental Nurse registered with the General Dental Council
• Significant and varied Dental experience post registration
• Be computer literate and have excellent communication and listening skills
• Be calm and confident, able to think quickly and solve simple and complex dental enquiries in a calm and sympathetic manner. You will also understand the importance of working in a team as well as working on your own.
• Previous experience of telephone triage is preferred in an emergency setting
Rates of pay for the following shifts are :
£10.77 - Days
£14.00 - Evening & Nights
£15.62 - Weekends and bank holidays
If successful, you must be available for3 weeks to complete the required training at Derby or Chesterfield (which could include day time or out of hours). A further 9 weeks will be required either day time or out of hours for supervised practice.
This role is part of the integrated health and social care community across Derbyshire, where there are many opportunities to work across different locations and providers developing new and different skills. Whilst this role is initially based in Derby/Chesterfield there are likely to be future opportunities to be based at different locations within the health and social care community which we may talk to you about in the future.
