About the role

Sense are currently looking for a motivated individual to join our Finance team in Wakefield as a Finance Officer. This is a full or part time role, working between 22.5 and 37.5 hours per week.

In this role you will work closely with our managers and directors to ensure the financial good health and management of Sense’s varied functions. In particular, this new position focusses on our successful fundraising team and Sense International arms of the charity.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Regular reporting, including on both Sense and Sense International Grants.
  • Assist in the reconciliation of control accounts, including reconciling of information on the Finance System.
  • To be responsible for processing and managing the Sense Branch Income and Expenditure Statements on a quarterly basis.
  • Ensure that all relevant financial procedures are followed, providing advice as required in response to queries.

About you 

With previous experience in accounting or finance, our ideal candidate will be AAT qualified or hold an equivalent qualification. We’re looking for someone with excellent communication skills and the ability to develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

You will be confident using IT, including the full Microsoft suite and accounting and finance systems.
