Salary: £49,608 to 55,120 base salary, plus………………… significant annual personal bonus %, good car allowance, 13% employer pension contribution, 4% flexible cash pot, private medical insurance, 30 days holiday plus bank holidays. Want a summary of the role?

We're building a new multi-disciplined Service Management team and have a great career opportunity for a customer oriented Service Engineer to concentrate on risk management.

Your main focus would be to help support the Finance department technology risks and ensure governance is maintained. You will do that firstly through ensuring that we have a robust process to monitor the current software versions for our finance applications, collecting & collating data across the finance systems landscape, and indicate where the risks lie.

You'll work with our Engineering Leads and Product Owners, communicating risk impacts and working with those people to help manage the impacts. Longer term you will identify, understand and analyse trends in help put plans in place to mitigate them.

This particular role is one of three within the team and the plan is to up skill each team member in their counterparts role. You will get the opportunity to up-skill yourself across incident & problem management, software contract management plus cost management amongst others. The aim is to create a multi-skilled, high performing run team.

What do I need to do this job?

We welcome people from a range of role backgrounds but do need to see the following as a minimum for consideration: 1) Prior background working in a Service Engineer capacity (or similar role), 2) knowledge of a finance department including day to day operations and what is important to them (we're not looking for an accountant though!), 3) an understanding of Risk Management within a Service Engineering capacity.

Good communication skills both verbal and written are highly prized.

Oh, and if you have exposure to the following that would be ideal, but please still apply if you don't! Knowledge of common risk assessment tools, prior financial services experience, ITIL or ISO qualifications.
