Role Overview

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Commercial Manager to join our Facilities Management business at Amey. In this role, you will provide commercial support to our Northampton Schools PFI contract. Managing the facilities maintenance services for 43 schools this contract represents one of our largest contracts at Amey over a 25 year concession; as Commercial Manager you will be accountable for 20 accounts with a value of £15m per annum



Responsibilities

This varied role as part of a busy team can mean no two days will be the same; providing an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to challenge themselves. However fundamentally you will be accountable for implementing a proactive commercial culture, mitigating risk, and facilitating collaborative working across the wider commercial network. Tasks will include:

  • Management of all commercial aspects of the FM Agreement
  • Undertaking commercial reporting
  • Managing the Payment Mechanism
  • Subcontractor Management
  • Liaising with the Lifecycle, Procurement and Finance functions
  • Monitoring general contract compliance
  • Assisting changes on account



What are we looking for?

This role would suit an experienced Commercial individual with strong negotiation skills and legal knowledge. You should have experience in, or an understanding of PFI contracts ideally within the FM industry; Construction, operational or finance experience within FM is also required. As you will be joining a large team you will need to be a team player with a strong work ethic and proactive communication skills. MRICS, MCiOB and / or BiFM accreditation would be highly advantageous.
