Personal Independent Payments (PIP) Our Client is one of the largest treatment and diagnostic providers in the UK. With access to a network of over 5000 experts in the field we deliver a vast range of treatment and diagnostic services, including physical, psychological and hospital. The Role Our client is currently looking for occupational therapists, physiotherapists, paramedics and registered nurses to join our team. As a disability analyst you will join an established team of health professionals conducting assessments on a daily basis. The role will enable you to utilise your clinical and evidenced based knowledge, interpersonal skills and examination techniques to determine how an individual’s activities of daily living are being affected by their conditions. To become a PIP assessor there is a comprehensive 4 stage training process which involves e-learning. Following this, there will be a 10 day face to face training course with assessments throughout. Assessments will then be observed by a mentor and you will receive continued support until satisfactory grades are achieved. As a disability analyst your key responsibilities are to carry out functional assessments and provide advice on a person’s ability to complete activities of daily living to an acceptable standard to the DWP. You will be expected to work productively, ensuring that quality is maintained and also respond positively to feedback. You will be expected to complete assessments and write succinct, accurate and comprehensive reports in plain English to enable the decision making process. You will be supported by the clinical and operational team within The Treatment Network. Job Type Full and part time opportunities available. Salary Starting at £32k up to £35k + excellent company benefits Required Minimum 2 years post qualification experience. Adequate IT and typing skills will be required. Registration and continuous professional development should be maintained in accordance with the requirements of Post Registration and Practice (PREP) standards set by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) or Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). Work well as part of a multidisciplinary team and build positive working relationships with health professional colleagues, operational management and administrative support staff.
