Your career may not have followed a traditional path, but neither has ours and for 100 years Cummins have always taken different paths towards innovation. At Cummins, we appreciate returning to work after a career break can be a challenging experience, so we are proud to re-launch our Repower - Return to Work Program. As an experienced professional who has taken a break from the workforce, this is your opportunity to re-engage your skills and re-power your career.

Our UK 6 month paid Returner placement programme provides you with projects that match your specialist expertise, interests and abilities. A focus of our program is the training, coaching and development you will receive whilst learning on the job, in addition to getting close support to you ease back into the working environment.

Please read on for some insights from our 2018 Repower group:

“Having the confidence to talk technical with others was really tough at first, but the projects I’ve been working on and the people around me in technology and manufacturing have been so helpful. It now gives me great satisfaction and confidence to know people recognise the contribution I can bring from my diverse experience and background . It feels amazing to run a project and know you are the go to person.”

Lynda (4 years career break), Cummins Repower September 2018.

“I was trusted with responsibility straight away and praised for approaching problem solving in different ways. It’s been a fantastic experience and my journey has not finished yet. I’m now working on development/testing of new products and collaborating with colleagues in China, India and USA. Initially it was quite intimidating joining global calls but now it’s second nature.”

Jacqueline (13 years career break), Cummins Repower September 2018.
