Our client is a forward-looking College of Further & Higher Education that serves a large area of South East England with a wide range of vocational and academic courses, both full and part time. The College is situated in Ewell and can easily be accessed either by car (junctions 8-10 on the M25) or rail (Ewell West is close and the college is next to Ewell East where you can get regular direct trains to Clapham Junction and Victoria). The College was last inspected in February 2016 retaining its overall grading of 'Good' under the robust new Ofsted standards.

They are currently recruiting to the following position:

Psychodynamic Counselling Supervisor

£31.90 per hour

3.15 - 4.45 on Fridays.

They are currently seeking applications from professionally qualified psychodynamic counsellors to teach students studying on their Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling.

The successful candidates will be practising psychodynamic counsellors/ psychotherapists with BACP Accreditation or equivalent (or able to show eligibility) and must have a background in teaching or training. They will also have experience of working in a variety of settings i.e. a counselling agency, private practice and/or counselling related work in the public sector. They will work according to the BACP/UKCP or related ethical framework. The candidates will manage their own student group and also be working as part of a team in the overall provision of the diploma.

The candidates must be able to demonstrate a good understanding of recent theoretical developments. In addition, they must also be able to demonstrate their ability to hold boundaries and demonstrate that they do not have professional boundaries with existing staff or students.

The successful candidates should have experience in formal teaching and assessment of student work, preferably at Diploma level. They must be able to demonstrate good administrative, organisational and communication skills and must be computer literate. They expect the suitable candidates to have five years post qualification experience and must show commitment to achieving a teaching qualification if they do not currently hold one.
