Senior Fundraiser required for a progressive local charity for people with sight loss in Oxfordshire. 2-year contract with prospects for extension

Position: Senior Fundraiser
Location: Oxford
Salary: Circa £25-30K
Hours: 35 hours per week, flexible
About the role:
As Senior Fundraiser you will work with the Director and management team to develop and implement a fundraising strategy and will both oversee and contribute to fundraising. Your key responsibilities will be:
- Securing income to support the core revenue costs of the organisation
- To engage in continuing evaluation of the fundraising programme
- Research and write funding applications to charitable trusts and foundations, working with colleagues to develop inspirational bids to support their work
- Plan and organise regular funding appeals and events
- Develop and implement a programme for legacies and for regular giving
- Develop contacts and relationships with local businesses, organisations and high net worth individuals
- Provide supportive leadership for all fundraising projects and to recruit, organise and motivate fundraising volunteers
About you:
In order to be successful in the role of Senior Fundraiser you will have the following skill and experience:
- At least 3 years’ experience as a fundraiser.
- Proficient in the use of databases, spreadsheets and social media.
- Financial awareness in managing budgets and meeting targets.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
Due to the nature of the role you will be required to travel around the county, therefore a full driving license and access to a vehicle is essential for this role.
