Working with the Global Sanctions Lead, you will support with the management and maintenance of the global sanctions framework including ensuring sanctions related policies, procedures & guidance documents are up to date.  You will provide additional support in relation to the annual risk assessment process and conduct sanctions risk analysis, reviewing both centralised and de-centralised sanctions controls on a periodic basis to ensure these meet current regulatory requirements.

A key part of the role will be providing advice to the business and other stakeholders on the sanctions risks arising from client relationships and transactions.

You will also have the opportunity to support the Global Sanctions Lead in developing and implementing a sanctions training & awareness program including targeted training for high risk business areas.

To be successful in this challenging and varied role, you will be degree qualified, with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in economic sanctions compliance working in an equivalent financial services institution. You will have strong OFAC, EU & UK sanctions knowledge and the ability to analyse and interpret regulatory and technical information.

An understanding of payments initiation, validation and implementation of sanctions screening solutions and processes, would be an advantage as would knowledge of investment banking products and services.

Strong written and verbal communication skills (including presenting to senior stakeholders) are essential for this role, as are strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities whilst being able to work both independently and as part of a team.
