Job Details

Supervise and coordinate site activities and coordinate work of contractors, site and project engineering staff and operations, ensuring delivery of construction and engineering projects within agreed time-frames and budgetary parameters and in compliance with applicable standards and procedures and aligning to organisational objectives and requirements.

 

Accountabilities: Identify the skills and resources required to successfully deliver the project. Manage the project delivery within a timely manner ensure the maximum outcomes for the client and Lendlease. Ensure quality is of a consistently high level and pro-actively identify quality issues. Closely manage, monitor and report all costs and controls. Accountable for the implementation and compliance with all Lendlease safety requirements across staff, contractors and work practices ensuring appropriate records are maintained and required reports are available. Recognise safe behaviours and practices. Conduct regular reviews of the EHS plans and regularly review lessons learnt. Prepare and review the project sustainability objectives and targets ensuring compliance with Lendlease standards and local regulatory requirements. Maintain working relationships with internal and external (contractors, subcontractors, vendors) team members to ensure collaboration and develop and build staff through training and feedback to encourage and develop internal capabilities and to ensure team members are adequately resourced to perform. ; Attributes: Relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering or a related technical discipline (or equivalent knowledge and experience), combined with intermediate subject matter knowledge, demonstrable experience with developed people manager skills. Experience in a site engineering or project engineering role within complex and high volume business projects, and/or knowledge of the construction and property development industries and site management principles including an understanding of employee relations and union agreements, safety, risk management and field related issues. Commercial acumen and analytical skills for managing inputs and outputs of a commercial assignment, combined with planning and organisational skills for managing competing priorities, problem solving, technical and analytical skills to support the implementation of organisational policies, procedures and programs and engineering operations. Communication and interpersonal skills with written and verbal communication skills to facilitate decision making, manage expectations, influence and build relationships with key stakeholders and communicate across all levels of the organisation. Manage and lead a team or teams through application of advanced knowledge in a specialist stream (job category) and basic to intermediate knowledge in more than one other job category. May have financial accountability for a cost or profit centre. Provide considerable input into new processes and operational plans in support of the organisation's business strategies. Manages through the leadership and development of Lendlease people.
