Job Details

This is an opportunity for a Dutch speaking Associate or Vice President to join our Infrastructure Project and Principle team, as part of the Infrastructure & Energy Group.  The role will combine typical investment banking tasks with principal investing, project finance advisory, infrastructure development, and client interaction on Europe’s preeminent infrastructure and project finance transactions. We are looking for you to bring a background in project finance with strong legal skills for documentation and negotiations. The role is based in London with frequent travel to the Benelux.

As part of the Project and Principle team, you will:

  • lead financial advisory work for external and internal clients
  • raise, negotiate and close complex project finance structures including financial documentation (term sheets, funding agreements...etc)
  • prepare and negotiate bid documentation and risk allocation (including commercial contracts, such as shareholder agreements, concession agreements, D&B and O&M subcontracts) with industrial partners and governments
  • review project documentation and due diligence materials to identify potential risks and value drivers
  • engage and lead due diligence advisors (legal, technical, tax & accounting)
  • prepare internal credit papers for equity and debt approvals.

To be successful in this role, you will have 3-5 years+ project finance/concession experience in a comparable organisation with detailed knowledge of project finance markets, principles of financial analysis and valuation and knowledge of project finance modelling. In addition, you will have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline such as Finance, Mathematics, Economics, Law or Engineering, and excellent pre-university academic results. It is essential that you are fluent in both spoken and written Dutch and English with strong general communication style and in addition, relationship building skills.

This is a key role within the team, and as such you will need to be entrepreneurial, professional, committed and proactive in your approach. Exceptional communication, organisational skills and the ability to perform in a demanding, fast paced environment will see you thrive in the role.
