Clinical Lead (Part Time)
Exeter, Devon
About Us
Operating across Devon and Torbay, Headway Devon is a local charity dedicated to improving life after brain injury.
Brain injuries are a hidden disability that can affect personalities, relationships and the ability to lead an independent life. When a person’s life is turned upside down by brain injury, we ensure they get the help and support they need and deserve.
We are currently looking for a Clinical Lead to join us, working two hours per week, and provide a high level of clinical support to the organisation.
The Benefits
- Salary of £48,750 pro rata
- Support the success of a forward-thinking local charity
- Share your expertise with a passionate team
If you have experience with ABI (acquired brain injuries) and neurological conditions, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in a part time role that you can fit around your existing responsibilities.
For over 17 years, we’ve provided a lifeline to people whose worlds have been put on hold by brain injury. We want to continue our vital work for years to come, and to do that, we need brilliant people on our team.
In this important role, you will have the chance to increase our team’s knowledge, enabling them to deliver the best possible care to the people we support.
The Role
As the Clinical Lead, you will support Headway Devon in delivering exceptional services and care to individuals with acquired brain injuries (ABI), as well as their families and carers.
Working with the Senior Management Team, you’ll enable our charity to meet our vision, strategy and objectives.
Providing a high level of clinical support to the charity, you will:
- Act as a bridge between our Board of Trustees and staff within the organisation
- Deliver specialist advice and training to staff to increase their understanding of ABI
- Maintain your knowledge of new developments in ABI and social care and how this may impact Headway Devon
About You
To join us as the Clinical Lead, you will need:
- Experience of working with complex ABI (acquired brain injuries) and neurological conditions, including stroke, brain tumours and epilepsy
- Previous experience of training and public speaking
- Experience of managing a team
- To be HCPC registered
Experience of working with multi-disciplinary teams would be beneficial, as would a good understanding of the legal requirements of charities and companies.
Other organisations may call this role Clinical Support Lead, Clinical ABI Lead, Brain Injury Case Manager, Social Care Manager, Clinical Care Manager, Clinical Care Lead, Clinical Consultant or Neurological Care Manager.
This is a part time role, working two hours per week, preferably between 9:00 – 17:00 on Wednesdays, but we are able to offer some flexibility.
The closing date for applications is the 6th September 2019.
