A fantastic opportunity within Harrow Council for an experienced, self-motivated Housing Needs - Operation Manager to join our expanding team. We are seeking one enthusiastic and committed individual to join us as a Housing Needs - Operation Manager for a temporary assignment. In return we pay a negotiable hourly rate based on the experience starting from £29.25 per hour, other benefits include excellent training and support for career development and 21 days holiday (excluding Bank Holidays).

You will be working part time, 18 hours per week Monday to Wednesday.

To be successful for the Housing Needs - Operation Manager role you would need to have the below skills & experience:

"To develop the structures, systems and policies necessary to support effective service delivery and to ensure that Harrow makes best use of partnership opportunities within the regional context.
"To motivate, train, develop and performance manage staff to maintain an effective workforce capable of meeting its objectives.
"To formulate, monitor and manage annual operational plans and budgets for the function so that there are clear priorities and appropriate resources are allocated to their achievement
"To resolve the most complex issues within the professional area managed so that they are resolved effectively and precedents are set for the resolution of similar issues.
"To develop longer term (2-3 years) plans for the service managed so that they are developed in line with Council and Government priorities, budgets and housing need
"To ensure services link effectively with related service provision, within or external to the Council, so that coherent and value for money services are provided. Where appropriate, and in conjunction with other service providers, to undertake joint planning of service delivery and/or for the closer integration of service provision
"To contribute to the overall management and strategy of the Directorate.
"To manage the function so that the services provided are responsive to customer requirements, accessible to all areas of the community and provide value for money.
"Implement and champion, through service and staff development, the Council's Health and Safety, Equal Opportunity and Information Security Policies.

Located 10 miles from the city centre and just 13 minutes to Euston from Harrow & Wealdstone station there are great transport links via the Metropolitan Line, Watford DC Line and national rail service.
