We are looking for a Finance Officer to support the RSPB's operational managers Central & Eastern England, delivering our mission to give nature a home.

Location: Flexible within Central and Eastern England (main offices in Norwich and Birmingham)
Salary: Starting at £17,276 to £18,716 per annum pro rata
Hours: Part time, 22.5 hours per week
Contract: Permanent

This role will be responsible for providing comprehensive business support for financial and budget processes and will be the main point of contact for the Finance Business Partner on all major budget and forecast queries.

You'll need to work closely with leadership teams and take a flexible approach to ensure that financial support requirements are met across operating areas.

Some of the key responsibilities will include: co-ordinating and supporting the timely receipt of budget forecasts; managing budget spreadsheets and working with budget holders at regular budget reviews and forecasts; providing timely and accurate information in support of the Operations Director and their Leadership team; co-ordinating year-end financial process and annual accounts, including grant accruals and carry forwards; and assist Project Managers in establishing and tracking budgets for major projects.

You'll need to develop and nurture effective relationships with people at all levels on behalf of the Operations Director and ensure confidential and sensitive financial matters are handled professionally.
