With a Salary of £27,099 per annum for 36 hours per week based at Surrey Fire & Rescue Headquarters, Croydon Road, Reigate. This position is based inside one of our main area offices, click HERE to see a 360 degree view of the building and surrounding area along with a view of the reception.

About the role

The Leadership Office provides support across Surrey County Council's Community Protection, Transport and Environment Directorate which is responsible for a wide range of key services across the county including: Highways & Transport, Planning, Countryside, Waste, Trading Standards, Fire & Rescue and Emergency Planning.

We are looking to recruit to the position of PA and Project Support to join the Leadership Office and provide first class PA support to the Senior Leadership Team of Surrey Fire and Rescue.

In this varied role you will be providing PA support, with day to day tasks that will include (but not limited to) inbox and diary management for the Senior Leadership Team, prioritising appointments, responding to and resolving enquiries, minute taking and record keeping, organising events, high quality research and analysis, preparing reports and presentations as well as administration and project support when required.

Previous experience of providing high level PA support would be helpful to you in this position but is not essential. Most importantly, you will have a proven track record of working successfully to deliver complex tasks through multiple strands of work - this position will require strong planning and organisational skills.

To be shortlisted for interview for this position, your CV and personal statement should clearly evidence the following:

  • Experience of diary management and administration at a high level
  • Minute taking and record keeping
  • Customer focus and able to build strong relationships with senior people both internally and externally
  • Meeting and event planning
  • High level presentation skills and experience.
