Care Companion, Egham

£10.00 - £12.50 per hour

Flexible part time hours

Are you looking for a job like no other where you can truly make a difference to the life of an older person in your local community? We are looking for Care Companions to support people like Arthur* continue to do the things he loves and live life to the full. You could make a difference, it may not always be huge, but it will matter all the same.

We have part-time roles available throughout Egham, Staines, Virginia Water, Chertsey, Addlestone, Windsor and surrounding areas of Surrey and Berkshire. It is essential that you have a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle.

Arthur* is 73 years old and a retired teacher and has always been independent whilst living in his own home. Last year Arthur started to struggle with little things that so many of us find simple. He would struggle to follow simple steps such as following a recipe when cooking a meal, he might repeat a lot of things he has already said, and he wouldn't be able to concentrate on his books like he used to. Daily routines have become harder for Arthur* and so has getting out and about doing the things he enjoys. That is where you come in. You may help him with his morning, lunchtime, or evening routine, or even with elements of personal care. You might take him to his local singing group, music really helps him remember special memories from his past, or you might help him with his shopping or making a healthy meal. You would be helping him continue to be himself and do the things he loves and remain in his own home, a rewarding feeling like no other.

Come and join the best!

You could be joining an award-winning national brand who focus on a companionship led care service. They have won multiple awards over the years and have built an excellent reputation within communities across the UK. This exceptional service is different to any other care organisation in the area, providing a minimum of 1-hour home visits to a purely private client base, but the focus being on companionship.

Benefits & Hours

  • Flexible part-time hours up to 30 hours per week.
  • If you have some availability early mornings, lunchtimes, afternoons, evenings and a couple of hours every alternate weekend, then this position is ideal for you.
  • Excellent in-house training and support is provided;
  • Opportunities for career progression;
  • The biggest benefit of all is making a difference every day.

This is more than just a job; you could have such a positive impact on a person's life. Becoming a Care Companion to an older adult is not only rewarding, but you will be gaining a friend too. So, if you are excited by this job opportunity, then we would love to hear from you, so please click apply.

*Arthur is just an example of someone you would support.
