Bookkeeper & Payroll Officer
Xero Bookkeeper required for a fast-growing accountancy practice in Redditch on a permanent basis.
You will report into the Directors at the practice and will be responsible for your own portfolio of clients ensuring that their book-keeping needs are met. You will have a proven track record in a similar position ideally with a relevant qualification. Plus you will require excellent communication skills, ability and confidence to meet with clients if necessary. Access to your own car is preferable, as some client on-site visits may be necessary.
Job Description:
* Purchase and sales ledger, raising and entering invoices in Xero
* Bank reconciliations
* Monthly and weekly payroll
* Ability to meet strict HMRC deadlines
* Experience of the Construction Industry Scheme requirements (beneficial)
* Experience of Receipt Bank and other Xero add-ons an advantage, but not essential
* Credit control service for clients
* All other day-to-day accounts/office duties e.g. to maintaining accurate files and enter data in a timely fashion
Person required:
* Solid book-keeping and payroll experience is essential
* A friendly, grounded and trustworthy individual
* Ability to work on your own essential
* Xero experience is preferred, but not essential
* Fully competent with outlook & excel
* Experience of working within a small accountancy practice will be advantageous
This is a permanent, part-time position, working 15-22.5 hours per week (working days/hours are flexible), although full time will be considered
