We have an exciting opportunity for dedicated and motivated individuals to join our well established team in Redruth, where we currently support an older gentlemen with a learning disability in his own home.

Flexibility is important as all the shifts are spread across weekdays, weekends, evenings and bank holidays. Some sleep-ins will also be required. You will need to be understanding of his needs yet consistent in your approach.

Duties vary widely from going out on day trips, medical visits, supporting with day to day activities and much more.

The gentleman you will be supporting really enjoys going for walks, out for meals, doing his weekly food shop, interacting with puzzles and generally just being out and about in the community.

All the people we support need to be supported positively, calmly and respectfully. This service is a 2:1 service so apart from during the night there will always be another person on shift with you.

As a support worker, all you will need is a positive attitude and a desire to improve the lives of those with a learning disability. While you support the people within our service, we will support you with award winning training and progression opportunities throughout your career with us.

Driving for this role is essential, as you will need to drive the person we support’s vehicle.
