Job Description
Full Time and Part Time posts available
Part Time post is 20 hours per week, Monday - Friday 10.30am - 2.30pm
As a Benefit & Revenue Officer you will be responsible for answering calls from customers enquiring about Housing Benefit, Council Tax Reduction and Council Tax accounts.
You will also be responsible for vetting and processing applications for Housing Benefit, Council Tax Reduction and the administration of Council Tax Accounts.
You will be expected to provide comprehensive advise to council residents and have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Experience in Housing Benefit/Council Tax Reduction and Council Tax administration would be advantageous although not essential, as training will be provided.
You should be able to demonstrate the ability to work accurately under complex legislative guidance and have previous experience of working to targets and timescales. You should have excellent customer service skills and be able to demonstrate practical knowledge of IT packages including Microsoft Office Suite.

The preferred candidate will be subject to a Basic Disclosure provided by Disclosure Scotland prior to a formal offer of employment being made.
