Keyworker – Children, Young People and Families 37.5 hours per week£20,430- £23,545

Keyworker - Children, Young People and Families 16 hours per week£8,716 - £10,046 pro rata

Bradford is one of 21 Local Authority Areas to receive funding through the Troubled Families programme for tackling youth crime. This fund will bring together VCS keyworkers, police, targeted Early Help, community groups, teachers and other professionals to intervene earlier to help stop young people from becoming drawn into crime, serious violence and entering the youth justice system. This locality based model is an extension of the existing VCS Families First partnership in Bradford.

We are looking to recruit a dynamic, experienced individual(s) to deliver coordinated responses for 6-13 year olds and their families through a Keyworker service working in a multiagency approach to support a caseload of Children, Young People and Families at risk of or involved in Criminal Activity.

Main Duties Include:

·To work with a case load of approx. 6-8 families who have been appropriately referred to the service.

·Undertake activities, including home visits, outreach, to make contact and engage referred children, young people and families.

·To undertake appropriate assessments of children, young people and families, including Signs of Safety, to develop, with family on caseload, a personal support plan that will include short term milestones and medium-term targets.

·To deliver appropriate key work and/or small group work activities to build awareness and resilience around youth crime.

·Co-ordination of locality based Outreach activities to address local needs.
