Cascade are currently recruiting for an Adult Care Support Workers at their homes in Norwich. Our Homes support people with Autism, Mental Health and a form of Learning Disability.

We are looking to recruit hard working, motivated and passionate individuals to join our team who are dedicated to enriching and improving the lives of everyone who is part of Cascade. This role entails working in our homes, providing high levels of care to our residents. Duties will include; following support plans, risk assessments and actively reviewing progress using the outcome star model. Supporting residents to participate in education, physical activities, and group activities. Assisting with meal preparations, personal care and other essential skills to promote development and progression towards independence. Promoting and role modelling health and wellbeing in terms of both physical health and mental health. Taking responsibility for key working with specific residents and leading on their care with the support of specialist group managers.

The Role:

To maintain care skills at a current level, and undertake such training and development as may from time-to-time be required to maintain that currency of practice. To provide care in accordance with current best practice, according to policy and procedures, agreed standards, legislative requirements, relevant regulations under the direction of the Manager, and within the financial plans agreed from time-to-time.

As a Care Worker you will be responsible for:

  • General day-to-day upkeep on the house
  • Assisting with meal preparations and cooking
  • Assisting residents where support is required, following care plans, support plans and risk assessments
  • Supporting residents to participate in; educational sessions, physical activities, group activities and activities of daily living.
  • Documenting and evidencing care by completing daily notes and be involved in discussing how best to support someone's need in the least restrictive way


Qualifications:

  • Care certificate or NVQ Level 2 desirable
  • Skills for care - Care certificate within 12 weeks of commencement of employment.
