We have an exceptional opportunity to join our clients small and vibrant team as Senior Fundraising Officer, as they embark on a major phase of development.

Position: Senior Fundraising Officer

Location: Bradford on Avon

Hours: Full Time 37.5 hours per week (although part-time would be considered)

Salary: circa £30,000 per annum

Contract: Permanent

Benefits: 32 days per year full time entitlement incl. the standard bank holidays for England and 2 days at Christmas, Flexibility to work from home up to 2 days a week, auto-enrolment for eligible staff into a pension scheme (The People’s Pension) with required employer contributions, complimentary tickets for WMC core programme performances (subject to availability and staff tickets policy), modern spacious office with free parking, training and development opportunities.

The Role

This is a new full-time role (although 4 days a week could be considered), building on the charity’s existing progress and sits at the heart of the organisation’s ambitious 3-year business plan targeting a significant increase in contributed income.

The Senior Fundraising Officer plays a key part in driving growth across various contributed income streams, to support the Centre’s core Artistic and Creative Learning programmes, including

 

  • Trusts and Foundations
  • Public Funding Bodies
  • Individual Giving

 

The role also has responsibility for the Centre’s membership programme and year-round programme of cultivation, stewardship and fundraising events, in order to develop and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders and funding prospects.

About you

This is a very exciting opportunity for a talented, experienced fundraiser to play a crucial role in a growing and ambitious arts organisation, developing fundraising expertise and track record across the various types of contributed income streams.

This inspiring role requires an efficient, highly motivated and tactful individual with experience in fundraising for the arts / charitable sector, as well as a passion for working with people.

You will bring with you:

  • Demonstrable experience of working in a fundraising environment
  • Excellent organisational skills and a ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Excellent all-round admin and computer skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience of events organisation.
  • Initiative, flexibility and self-motivation.
  • Experience of developing a funding pipeline and deliverable action plan.
  • Excellent copywriting skills.
  • Experience delivering community fundraising initiatives.
  • Experience utilising a fundraising database to its full potential.
