Part-time Purchasing Assistant - 6 month Fixed Term Contract
Location: Torquay
Hours of work: 24 per week, 3 days 8.45am-5.00pm ideally Wednesday, Thursday and Friday but there is some flexibility on this
Salary: c£10.50 per hour
The successful candidate will join the Operations Team based in Torquay. The role will be to support the Purchasing team and carry out offices duties for various departments. You will ideally have previous experience in a purchasing environment for a manufacturing company.
Responsibilities
Purchase wide range of general components, services and manufactured parts.
Expedite orders for subcontract services.
Effective and efficient purchasing & administration functions.
Order acknowledgement report
Reorder point report
Overdue order report
Supplier questionnaire and supplier permit control
Keep documents and files up to date
Assist with various Supply Chain functions
Skills/ Experience
Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
Good computer literacy
Team player
Supplier focus
Good administrative skills
Previous experience within a purchasing environment
Experience with ERP systems for purchasing preferred
