Vocational Tutor/ Assessor- Health and Social Care

£26,000 per annum (pro-rata, actual salary £13,000 per annum)

Part-time. 18.5 hrs per week

An exciting teaching opportunity has arisen for an experienced, knowledgeable and passionate teacher to teach health and social care. As a vocational tutor, you will have a cohort of about 20 learners. You will be responsible for delivering both vocational and tutorial lessons, bringing learning to life in a way that excites and inspires our learners.  You will work closely with a Learner Support Officer to support learners through their journey from recruitment to achievement, taking full responsibility for the achievement of your learners.

The main objectives of the role are:

  • Plan and deliver knowledgeable and exciting lessons
  • Track the progress learners make from their starting point and in every lesson
  • Mark and provide feedback to learners within a week of submission
  • Support learners to achieve and realise their aspirational goals

You must have at least 2 years’ experience/knowledge of working in this sector and experience of delivering outstanding lessons and achieving excellent outcomes for learners.

You must have a recognised teaching qualification, Level 3 vocationally recognised qualification in a relevant subject, and Maths & English minimum Grade C or equivalent (more if teaching Maths & English).
