Location: Oldham, Lancashire

Salary: £26519 - £33000 per annum ( £13.59 - £16.92 per hour )

Hours: Full Time and Part Time hours are available - you can choose depending on your preference (options of: 11.5 hours, 23 hours, 34.5 hours or 37.5 hours).

Shifts: Options of Days only (Apply online only)) or Nights only ( (Apply online only) ) or Mixed shifts on a rotational basis - you can choose depending on your preference

Contract: Permanent

Further Details: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a newly qualified or experienced RGN, RMN or RNLD to work within a specialist mental health rehabilitation service for the deaf and hard of hearing

Located in Oldham, the Hospital is a culturally sensitive service which has been created to provide support and rehabilitation with care and intervention from both deaf and hearing members of staff. The service offers programmes for men aged 18 and above who present with challenges and who require specialist care. The hospital also has gender specific, self-contained flats for men and women over 18 years old, to help them move along their care pathway to more independent living..

The Hospital is a purpose built hospital specifically commissioned to meet the needs of deaf people and individuals with complex communication difficulties.

Admission Criteria

Deaf or hearing people with special communication needs
Aged 18 years or over
Mental health problems including forensic
Developmental disorders
Complex needs and behaviours seen as challenging
Personality disorders
Substance misuse
Acute Relapses and Crisis Intervention
Service Details: The Service has a good CQC rating across all key lines of enquiry. They have a very positive and supportive work environment with a brilliant long-standing team. The have a very low staff turnover. They are very big on staff development and training. They have an extremely high staff to patient ratio.

The Hospital Manager is committed to training and development of staff with many opportunities to mentor junior staff and take on additional training for career progression within the company.

Training in BSL (british sign language ) levels 1 and 2 is provided to all staff and there are excellent development opportunities at site in addition to their dedicated preceptorship academy programme.

Shifts : The Hospital can accommodate part-time or full-time hours and they can be flexible with shifts. They are happy to consider nurses who prefer working days only or nights only. Their shift pattern is 0740 am- 8.00pm (days) and 0740 pm - 8.00am (nights). Please state if you have any preferences on your hours and/or shift pattern in your application
