Hours: 24 hours across Wednesday - Friday.
Main Purpose of Job
To deliver commercial benefit by maximising use of space within unit.
Balancing customer insight with the aim of maximising profit and minimising risk through a structured approach to space.
Main Responsibilities:
Macro Space Planning
- Cross functional working, with Brand, Purchasing and Operations to ensure effective and efficient delivery of space optimisation
- Create and maintain space database for all locations
- Driving centrally identified opportunities via multiple stakeholders in order to maximise profit
Micro Planograming
- Ensure accurate database is maintained performing the function of linking all units to the correct planogram size and products
- Analyse and review unit compliance to planograms, with regular reporting
- Maintain accurate planograms and range lists as ranges are changed
- Effective communication of new planograms to operations teams
Team
- Work in partnership with Brand team, Operations, Data and Purchasing to deliver the best solutions for the business
- Develop relationships with key stakeholders within the business to build and support the visibility and reputation of the Marketing team
- Ensure deliver of planograming and ranging with the category team
Skills & Knowledge Required:
Experience
- Degree level or above (or category management qualifications)
- Advanced IT skills
- Commercially numerate and astute with the ability to take data and interpret this to deliver actionable insight
- Proven proactive approach to driving brand sales & profit
- Track record in development and implementation of space planning and planograming
- Cross functional working with operations, commercial and property
- Use of space planning and planograming software (Scorpion)
Communication Skills
- Presentation skills, written and verbal to ensure analysis can be clearly articulated with all colleagues in the organisation
- Influencing and stakeholder management skills, with both peers and senior members of the organisation
