The Role

Willmott Dixon is currently looking to recruit an Assistant Digital Technician, for the Construction office based in Hitchin. As an Assistant Digital Technician at Willmott Dixon you will prepare 3D models and digital representations of our planned activities; predominantly within our tender documentation but this role is not restricted to the Preconstruction phase. Construction North London & The East undertakes a diverse range of projects demanding specialist skills in new build, refurbishment and restoration across various sectors including: Leisure, Commercial, Education, Health, Retail and Law and Order.

The successful candidate will be a self-starter and have a good team working ethic with an excellent eye for detail.

The Project

Within the role you will be required to;

 

  • Produce 3D models from 2D information on all tender stage submission. Using WD templates and create new content.

 

  • Create new template files to support current and new bids.

 

  • Provide logistics content to supplement bid submission and presentation.

 

  • Assess technical bid requirements and assist the bid leader to shape methodology and logistics proposals.

 

  • Brief, coordinate and instruct external 3D service supply chain partners to deliver compelling bid content.

 

  • Work closely with the Planning Engineer to produce accurate phasing plans.

 

  • Produce 3D models during second stage of tender to assist dialogue with customers.

 

  • Demonstration of 3D models using all available hardware and visualisation tools.

 

  • Constantly reinforce and deliver our customer first ethic.



Essential and Desirable Criteria

Essential

  • Excellent demonstrable standard of written and spoken English.
  • Excellent standard of resource planning.

Desirable

  • Relevant degree or equivalent qualification.



Personal Qualities

Technical

You will have a proven experience of:

  • Digital modeling and rendering.
  • Using Sketchup, 3DSmax, V-ray, Revit and other 3D modeling software.
  • Using Adobe Indesign.
  • Using Adobe Photoshop.
