Join our dynamic and fast paced Margining & Collateral Management team as an Executive.

Reporting to the OTC Margining Manager, this role will allow you the opportunity to focus on a variety of aspects of Margining with regards to OTC to support the team during the period of additional workload created by the roll out on new Margin Rule regulations.

Liaising closely with a range of internal and external stakeholders, you will be responsible for accurate and timely completion of daily tasks such as responding to margin calls and ensuring they are issued by required cut-offs, managing daily reconciliations and ensuring all breaks are cleared accordingly, ensuring payments have been processed and that all client reporting has been distributed as per the schedules.

You will also be responsible for OTC investigations and reporting any disputes to the Credit team on a daily basis and looking for appropriate resolutions.

You will be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels, have a background in middle office operations and a working knowledge of OTC derivatives along with an understanding of the market, regulatory changes and banking operations.

To be successful you will possess a tertiary education qualification (finance related subjects would be an advantage), good relationship management skills, a track record of generating new ideas and re-engineering processes to create more control or efficiency.

The Market Operations Division (MOD) provides essential and professional services across all areas of Macquarie. The group sets and maintains high standards and is continually developing operating efficiencies and setting industry benchmarks in service delivery. The MOD Collateral Management team is responsible for the Middle and Back Office activities for Collateral and Margin management.

The Sydney Collateral Team ensures that all exposures are met in accordance with the collateral schedules on a daily basis covering a wide range of financial products (eg.OTC, FX, Fixed Income, Equities and OTC Derivatives). The team manages collateral at the optimal rate while maintaining minimal risk, substitutions of collateral around dividend events and internal risk/credit reporting
