Lendlease have an exciting opportunity for a Sustainability Manager - Investment Management (IM), who will lead the establishment and implementation of a strong, commercially robust sustainability approach to Lendlease's investment and asset management practices, positioning the business as a global leader in responsible investment and sustainability.

Accountabilities:

  • Leading the development and delivery of sustainability strategies for the investment and asset management business that align with the Group Sustainability Framework, increase profitability and enhance Lendlease's brand and reputation.
  • Typically oversees the development and execution of relevant and appropriate sustainability programs for staff, informing staff of sustainability and environmental issues to promote and raise awareness of Company sustainability objectives.
  • Conduct detailed analysis of existing Company sustainability initiatives and the emerging and evolving legislative landscape, acting as a subject matter expert to advise management of current sustainability and environmental issues, industry Best Practice, and guide the development and implementation of appropriate Company programmes.
  • Mentor and support less experienced sustainability staff through all technical activities, may include guiding the creation of sustainability communications and research reports, to encourage and develop internal capabilities and to ensure staff are adequately resourced to perform.
  • Typically conducts in-depth analyses of complex aspects of site and/or project reviews, may include contaminated land investigations, noise assessments and/or ecological investigations, to monitor activities against established environmental management and sustainability plans, and guiding management in implementing further initiatives to ensure projects comply with Company sustainability objectives and relevant legislation.

Knowledge, skills & experience required:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Property, Engineering, Science, or Environmental Management, combined with extensive experience across multiple roles.
  • Demonstrable experience in a sustainability role, and/or expert knowledge of the construction and property management industries, corporate social responsibility, sustainability and green building design principles, and relevant environmental legislation.
  • Change management experience
  • Analytical and technical skills for conducting cost/benefit analysis and environmental investigations, and interpreting architectural and technical design documentation.
  • Customer service and organising skills, combined with communication skills, both oral and written; including the ability to liaise with a variety of stakeholders.
